Saci Pererê
About This Spot
Stepping into Saci Pererê feels like uncovering a small, vibrant corner of Brazil tucked away beneath the streets of Shinjuku. The mood here gently pulses with warmth and rhythm, a welcoming escape where time loosens its grip and the city’s usual pace softens. It’s the kind of place where the rich, earthy hum of live samba and bossa nova fills the air, inviting you not just to listen, but to sway along with others gathered in easy camaraderie.
The space itself holds a comfortable, unpretentious charm — spacious enough to move freely, yet intimate enough for shared moments, whether you come with friends or find yourself pulled into an unexpected dance with fellow guests. The staff’s genuine warmth offers an immediate sense of belonging, echoing the open-hearted spirit Brazil is known for.
On weekends, the afternoon light casts a relaxed glow as guests savor dishes that feel like home recipes, each unfolding flavors layered with fondness rather than pretense. The cocktails, particularly the classic caipirinhas, are crafted with an attentive hand, their balance of sweet, tart, and spirit a perfect companion to the spirited live performances that often animate the room. And for those who find joy in exploring, the array of Brazilian liquors and traditional bites offer a nuanced taste of a culture that is as much about celebration as it is about comfort.
Evenings carry a subtle magic here — the music rises and ebbs, conversations weave into laughter, and the boundaries between strangers soften. It’s a place where the city’s hustle momentarily recedes, replaced by moments that feel lifted from a Rio carnival: vibrant yet unhurried, rich with human connection and the simple pleasure of shared stories, rhythms, and flavors.

The first restaurant I'd visited in Tokyo and I had a blast. I came on a night where there were liver performances and I danced with two other customers who appeared to be regulars. Very welcoming and kind. The place is very spacious and probably one of few places in Tokyo where you'll get some authentic Brazilian food. Look forward to going again before I leave this great country.

Authentic Brazilian food ( I am Brazilian so I can tell haha) with friendly staff and good live music. For sure recommend it!
